Gold Coast Book Fair
The 2024 Gold Coast Book Fair takes place June 28-30 on the campus of LIU Post in Brookville and in downtown Oyster Bay, Long Island. The Fair is open to the public and FREE to attend. Select events require paid tickets. See information below for parking, maps, and more for each day of the Fair.
The Fair takes place rain or shine. In the event of inclement weather, please check our Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook feeds for updates about rain plans and alternate locations.
Author Events
& Book Signings
Author events are the core attraction of the Fair. See the full schedule of author events here. Seating at events is available first come, first serve. If an event you’d like to attend fills up, please check the schedule and attend an alternate session.
Authors will sign books immediately after their sessions, right outside of the event room. Books will be available for sale outside of the event room and in the official Fair Bookstore, hosted by Theodore’s Books.
The Fair Bookstore is located inside of Hillwood Commons at LIU, and in a tent in front of Theodore’s Books on Audrey Avenue in Oyster Bay. Please purchase your books before having them signed.
All attendees must abide by the Gold Coast Book Fair Code of Conduct. Attendees in violation of the Code of Conduct will be removed from the Fair.
LIU Post Events
Saturday June 29
LIU Post is located at 720 Northern Blvd.
in Brookville, NY 11548. For directions to campus by car, train, and public transportation, please visit the LIU website.
There is ample free parking at LIU. Signs will point you towards parking when you arrive.
The entrance to the Fair is through the upper level of Hillwood Commons, through the entrance attached to the parking lot. Look for volunteers and balloons. Events and attractions take place on the first and second floor of Hillwood Commons; inside the Humanities Building; and on the Creative Quad.
LIU is an accessible campus. When entering through the upper level of Hillwood Commons, an elevator is available to the right. Follow signs.
Concessions will be available throughout the day. Restrooms are located inside of all buildings.
We recommend wearing comfortable shoes and staying hydrated!
Oyster Bay Events
Sunday, June 30
Oyster Bay events take place in downtown Oyster Bay, along Audrey Avenue and in various small businesses and historic sites.
There is ample free parking in the area, including the parking lot at the Oyster Bay LIRR station and municipal lots.

Oyster Bay Brewing Company
Oyster Bay Historical Society
Raynham Hall & Museum
The Wine Line
Attractions and vendors will be along Audrey Avenue.
Food and drink are available from the many restaurants downtown. We appreciate you supporting local business during the Fair!

Ticket holders, please watch your email for arrival instructions. Both Book Tickets (includes a copy of Absolution) and Seat Tickets (no book) are available. Book Ticket holders receive priority access to seating and the signing line. Seat Ticket holders will be admitted to the session 10 minutes prior to the start time.
